<note>The study was conducted at barangay Amelong Labeng, Kayapa, Nueva, Vizcaya from December 2017 to March 2018 to evaluate the growth and yield performance of NSIC bush snap beans as influenced by organic fertilizers, to determine which of the organic fertilizers was best suited for NSIC bush snap bean production and to determine the economic profitability of bush snap bean production using organic fertilizers.

Results showed that there were significant differences among the fertilizers used on plant height, days to flowering, days to first and last harvesting, pod length, pod width, weight of marketable pods, yield and computed yield per hectare and return on expenses (ROE).

In terms of bush snap beans varieties, highly significant differences on the days to seedling emergence, days to flowering, days to pod setting and pod development, days to first and last harvesting, weight of non marketable pods, pod width, pod length, yield and computed yield per hectare. Result also showed that there were significant interaction effect between organic fertilizers and bush snap beans on the days to flowering, weight of non marketable pods.

As to economic profitability, “Contender’ applied with bokashi produced the highest weight of marketable pods, total and computed yield per hectare and higher in return on expenses (ROE) of 765.17% per hectare. </note>
