<note>The study was conducted at a farmer's garden in Poblacion South, Lagawe, Ifugao from July to September 2017. The performance of two varieties of bush snap bean as influenced by liquid organic fertilizers and effective microorganism was compared. Also the effects of liquid organic fertilizers and effective microorganism on the growth and yield of bush snap bean was determined as basis for identifying which of the liquid organic fertilizers and effective microorganism is best for bush snap bean production. Finally, the economics of using liquid organic fertilizers and effective microorganism on bush snap bean production was determined.

Results showed highly significant differences between the two varieties and liquid organic fertilizers and effective microorganism with regard to the weight of marketable pods, yield per plot, and computed pod yield in tons per hectare. There was no significant influence of treatments on plant height at maturity, days to seedling emergence, percentage of survival, days to flowering, days to harvesting green pods, days to last harvesting of green pods, weight of non-marketable pods, pod length, pod width, occurrence of pests (pod borer and aphids) and disease (bean rust).

As to economic profitability, highest return on expenses of 68.02% or Php 0.68 for every peso invested in the production was obtained by growing Sablan cultivar applied with FAA +EM at the rate of 664 ml FAA concentrate, 664 ml EM activated solution per 4 m² plot. Sablan cultivar applied with any of the following treatments: FAA+EM, KAA+EM and FPJ+ EM is best suited under Lagawe, Ifugao condition in terms of good performance, yield, and marketability.
