It was conducted to determine the effects of different levels of relative humidity and lighting duration on the root development of chrysanthemum cuttings.

	The study used two factors in completely randomized design (CRD) having different levels of relative humidity as the factor RH and the lighting duration as the factor L. Factor RH with three levels, 60-70%, 70-80%, and 80-90% relative humidity while factor L has also three lighting duration, 2 hours, 4 hours, and 6 hours, making nine treatment combinations.

	The study used two-factor factorial experiment arranged in completely randomized design (CRD) having different levels of factor RH (relative humidity) and factor L (lighting duration). Factor RH had three levels, 60-70%, 70-80%, and 80-90% while factor L had also three lighting duration, 2 hours, 4 hours, and 6 hours. The treatment combination are as follows, RHIL1(60-70% RH and 2 hours lighting), RH1L2 (60-70% RH and 4 hours lighting), RH1L3 (60-70% RH and 6 hours lighting), RH2L1 (70-80% RH and 2 hours lighting), RH2L2 (70-80% RH and 4 hours lighting), RH2L3 (60-70% RH and 6 hours lighting), RH3L1 (80-90% RH and 2 hours lighting), RH3L2 (80-90% RH and 4 hours lighting), RH3L3 (80-90% RH and 6 hours lighting).

	Results of study revealed that the different levels of relative humidity and lighting duration has no significant effect on most of the data gathered on the propagation of chrysanthemum shoot tip cuttings particularly on the root development. However, some parameter such as the mortality rate shows high significance which recommends that 80-90% relative humidity and two hours lighting duration is the best environment for chrysanthemum propagation.
