A study was conducted to determine the incidence of common intestinal parasites of hogs slaughtered at Bayombong Slaughterhouse, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.
A total of 288 samples were randomly collected from the slaughterhouse in 36 market days. The study revealed that only the parasite Ascaris suum is present in the hogs slaughtered and the percentage of infection is relatively low. In relation to breed, age, sex and the type of rearing. Ascaris suum was more prevalent in large whites, in 4-month-old female, backyard-reared large white.
