The study determined the nutrient content of the hydroponic system effluent. The study's objective was to determine the biogas effluent's reduction in phosphorus and potassium in the treatment mixture and the input treatment to filtered water, as well as the ph level and water temperature to observe the water quality and the growth of plants in terms of plant height and root length.
The result showed that the bio filter's phosphorus reduction efficiency was 94.71%, and its average potassium reduction efficiency was 87.93%, both of which came close to lowering the P and K content of the water used in the hydroponics system. Since the output filters had the same pH level, the water sample taken on day 30 revealed no pH level reduction. Although potassium had an average reduction effectiveness of 84.9% and phosphorus had a rate of 93.20%, respectively. The decreased phosphorus level was O0.388 mg/L, with a total phosphorus standard of 0.5 milligrams per liter and a target standard of 0.3 milligrams per liter. The filtered water's lowered potassium level was also suitable for fish water because potassium concentrations of 0.2 mg/l and 0.4 mg/l were required in aquaponics. The nutrient concentration of the hydroponics system effluent was acceptable because it fell within the range of water nutrient content for fish production.
