This study was conducted to determine the hematological profile of 110 dogs ages 3 to 11 months, 1 to 2 years and 3 years and above age groups of dogs using the BC-3000 Blood Analyzer Correlation and descriptive analysis were used to interpret the data gathered through statistical analysis system (SAS) software.

Results revealed that the mean values of white blood cells (WBC), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) and platelets (PLT) of 3 to 11 months, 1 to 2 years and 3 years and above dogs were all within the normal range values while the red blood cells (RBC), lymphocytes, monocytes and eosinophils in all the three age groups were below the normal hematological values. Hemoglobin (HGB) and hematocrit (HCT) were also below the normal values in 3 to 11 months and 1-2 years but were within the normal range in 3 and above years old dogs.

Moreover, the mean values of WBC, MCV, MCH and MCHC of both sexes were within the normal range while PLT were within the normal range in 3 to 11 months (both sexes), 1 to 2 (male) and 3 and above (both sexes) except for the 1 to 2 years female which is below the normal range. The mean values of RBC, lymphocytes, monocytes and eosinophils and HCT were below the normal values in 3 to 11 months in both sexes, 1 to 2 years in both sexes and 3 and above in female except 3 and above male which is within the normal range.
The mean values of WBC, MCV, MCH, MCHC and PLT were within the normal range while HGB, RBC, HCT, lymphocytes, monocytes and eosinophils were below the normal range when compared to the normal hematological values.
