The study was conducted to evaluate performance efficiency and gut coliform count of 96 broilers supplemented with different levels of Effective Microorganism (EMO) in diet for 35 days. The experiment was laid out in a completely randomized design with the following treatments T1- 0% EMO supplementation, T2 + (- 1) % EMO supplementation, T3-% EMO supplementation, and T4 % EMO supplementation. Each treatment has three (3) replicates containing eight (8) experimental units. Results showed significant increase in weight of broilers in T2 at 28 days of feeding. Cost Analysis shows that T3 has the highest return of income (P33.38). The other performance efficiency parameters did not have significant differences among treatments. No significant differences were observed in terms of gut coliform counts among treatments during days 10 and 28 of trial. It is concluded that 1% EMO supplementation in diet can result to a significant increase in weight at day 28 of growth. Further studies are recommended using EMO in broilers. It is also recommended that bacterial identification and quantification be performed on the local EMO used in the study.
