This study aims to assess the occupational safety and health conditions of construction companies in Nueva Vizcaya. The study seeks to understand the demographic profile of the respondents, the employer's compliance with safety and health policies, identified strategies or practices to reduce workplace hazards, and the factors contributing to risks faced by the workers
Most companies in Nueva Vizcaya have formal health and safety programs and written safety and health policies. The majority of respondents also reported having internal safety and health departments and engaging in formal site health and safety inspections. However, the survey highlighted some areas for improvement, such as the need for more frequent health and safety training and incentives for workers
The factors identified as affecting safety and health performance included the absence of safety and health departments, safety and health policies, and adequate training Lack of site safety and health inspections and incentives for employees were also mentioned as contributing factors. These findings emphasize the importance of addressing these factors to enhance safety and health of workers in the construction industry.
