The study was conducted to determine the species of external parasites and blood parasites among the carabaos raised in selected towns in the Province of Nueva Vizcaya, to find out the prevalence of external parasites and blood parasites in selected towns in the province of Nueva Vizcaya, and to determine the external and blood parasite most likely to occur based on their age, gender, deworming history, method of rearing and feeding management.

A total of 73 carabaos were examined from seven municipalities of Nueva Vizcaya, namely, Aritao, Bambang, Bagabag Bayombong, Dupax del Norte, Dupax del Sur, and Quezon The results show that there were 47 (64 4%) samples out of 73 infected with external parasites and 14 (19.2%) out of 73 for blood parasites the blood parasite was identified as Babesia and the external parasites included Hematopinus and Lyperosia.
