In Nueva Vizcaya, though practices and management plans for safety and health programs were already practiced in the project activities, there were still gaps that have to be addressed with the goal of not only strengthening the existing standard but also improving the same.
The respondent's sociodemographic profile and the profile of the construction firm operating in Nueva Vizcaya were analyzed. Likewise, the level of safety and security management practices of the construction firm, the level of satisfaction of safety and security of workers, and the identification of the level of safety and security management practices of the construction firm and the level of satisfaction of workers were also analyzed.
The researcher used DOLE D.O. No. 13, s-1998, and other similar sources of information implementing the health and safety management practices in the province as reference. Questionnaires were issued to ninety (90) respondents through an equal distribution method and face to face interviews. The researcher used descriptive analysis using percentages, means, standard deviations, and frequency counts for the results of the profile of the respondents and the profile of the contraction firms. The level of compliance with safety and security management practices implemented by the construction firm was measured by 3 Point Likert Scale. The level of satisfaction of workers was measured using the 5 Point Likert Scale while the relationship between the level of satisfaction of workers and the construction firms was tested by the correlation procedure.
The study showed compliance of the construction firm in the implementation of the safety and security and a high level of satisfaction of workers with the health and safety programs. Likewise, the survey showed a significant relationship between the level of safety and management practices implemented and the level of satisfaction of safety and security workers in the construction firm.
