A survey of 390 respondents was undertaken in Bayombong. Nueva Vizcaya using a structured questionnaire to evaluate the knowledge, attitude, and practices (KAP) of dog owners towards rabies. Among the demographic variables, only the areas of education for knowledge and practice, settlement for both attitude and practice, number of households for knowledge, and number of dogs for practice were significantly associated with mean KAP scores. Those respondents who had higher education tends to have a better attitude and practice towards rabies. Also, participants who are residing in urban areas have higher attitude and practice scores compared to those who are from rural settlements. Lastly, participants who have higher number of household and of dogs were more likely to have higher scores in knowledge and practice, respectively. The correlation between the knowledge, attitude, and practice scores revealed significant positive linear correlations between knowledge-attitude, knowledge-practice, and attitude-practice Attitude and practices are directly proportional to knowledge. Despite the respondents having a high score in both areas of knowledge and attitude, vital information regarding rabies are still lacking. To address the gaps regarding rabies, community awareness through a more intensive information dissemination campaign should be done on a regular basis.
