| General note | The study was conducted to determine the hematological profiles of 16 goats using the BC-3000 Auto Hematology Analyzer Comparison of hematological parameter values such as WBC, RBC, hemoglobin, lymphocyte and hematocrit count between male and female goats manifested non-significant differences, while monocyte and eosinophil counts exhibited significant differences. <br/><br/>The WBC, RBC, hemoglobin, MCV, MCH, MCHC, platelet and lymphocyte counts revealed significant differences among the age groups of goats. On the other hand, monocyte count showed non-significant difference among the age groups of goats. <br/>The hematological count of red blood cell, hemoglobin and lymphocytes below the normal value were 57%, 69% and 50%, respectively, while within the normal value of WBC, RBC, Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration, platelet and lymphocytes were 88%, 31%, 25%, 100%, 56% and 44%, respectively. <br/><br/>White Blood Cell, Red Blood Cell, hemoglobin, Mean Corpuscular Volume, Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin, platelet, monocytes and lymphocytes counts beyond their normal values were 88%, 12%, 6%, 100%, 100%, 43%, 25% and 6%, respectively. Statistical analysis used the descriptive and correlation analysis. |
