| General note | The study sought to determine the correlates of job performance of Community-Based Forest Management (CBFM) Program implementers in Ifugao. To achieve the above aims, the study used the descriptive-correlation research method through a structured questionnaire to gather pertinent data required in the study. The study was conducted in Lamut and Mayoyao, Ifugao. There were 16 CBFM program implementers, 26 supervisors and partners, and 235 beneficiaries who served as respondents of the study which was conducted from October to December 2006.<br/><br/> The result of the study indicated that younger male respondents with higher educational attainment and more number of relevant trainings and seminars attended have higher level of job performance in terms of community organizing and strengthening, site development and management and program activities validation and billing. Respondents with higher level of competence in communication methods and techniques, community relations and leadership, program coordination, program implementation, program monitoring, and program evaluation tend to have higher level of job performance in terms of community organizing and strengthening, site development and management, and program activities and billing. development and management than other respondents in the study site<br/><br/> Respondents with higher level of competence in communication methods and techniques, community relations and leadership, program coordination, program implementation, program monitoring and program evaluation, tend to have higher level of job performance in terms of community organizing and strengthening, site development and management, and program activities and billing than other respondents in the study site<br/><br/> In order to improve the level of job performance of the CBFM program implementers in the study site in terms of community organizing and strengthening, site development and management, and program activities validation and billing, the male respondents should be motivated to pursue higher educational attainment and attend more trainings and seminars related to the implementation of the CBFM program.<br/><br/> Therefore, to enhance the job performance of the program implementers in the study site in terms of community organizing and strengthening, site development and management, and program activities and billing, the level of competence of the respondents in communication methods and techniques, community relations and leadership, program coordination, program implementation, program monitoring, and program evaluation should be further developed and improved.<br/><br/> Moreover, to further improve the level of job performance of the respondents in the study site the intensity of the problems they have encountered in terms of budget/facilities/tools and equipment and programming/scheduling should be accorded proper solution by the management of the CBFM program. Likewise, all the needed tools, equipment and supplies should be sufficient and accessible to the implementers in the study site in order that they could properly discharge their mandates as implementers of the CBFM program.<br/> |
