| General note | The workspace design is a recently developed strategy that aims to improve employee health and performance while reducing the building's impact. This study examined the level of satisfaction of employees in lodging establishments in Nueva Vizcaya with their workspace design regarding workspace effectiveness, departmental space effectiveness, mental health, physical health, and performance. Furthermore, the study investigated whether there were differences in these dimensions when employees were grouped by demographic profile variables.<br/> The study used a descriptive-inferential research design, and three DOT-accredited lodging establishments in Nueva Vizcaya received a two-part survey questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics.<br/> The findings showed that the majority of the respondents were female, over the age of 33, with a college degree, and worked at the front desk. One-third of those surveyed had worked in a restaurant for one to two years. In terms of overall satisfaction with workspace design, respondents rated their satisfaction as satisfactory. Workspace effectiveness received the highest satisfaction rating, followed by departmental space effectiveness and physical health. In contrast, the performance and mental health dimensions had the lowest satisfaction ratings, indicating that these dimensions require the most improvement.<br/> The study also found no significant differences in workspace design satisfaction based on demographic profile variables such as age, gender, educational attainment, job position, and years of service. Future research should consider other factors and locations that have not yet been examined. Additionally, lodging establishments should re-evaluate their layout design, such as table and chair placement, as well as make their establishments environmentally friendly and prepared for pandemic or disease outbreaks, and improve each employee's ability to handle work and personal stress.<br/> This study provides insight into the satisfaction levels of employees in lodging establishments in Nueva Vizcaya with their workspace design. The findings suggest that while there is overall satisfaction with the workspace design, there is room for improvement in certain dimensions.
