| General note | The study focused on the effect of Math Software integration to the achievements of students in GE Math as a basis for instructional material development. The study used a quasi-experimental with a counterbalanced design specifically the pretest and posttest to assess the knowledge of the students including their level of attitude towards mathematics software integration, technology readiness of students, and the acceptability on the use of mathematics software in learning mathematics. The study was conducted at Ifugao State University Potia Campus during the Second Semester of the School Year 2023-2024. The two sections from the Bachelor of Criminal Justice Education first-year students who are enrolled in Mathematics in the Modern World subject were the respondents of the study.<br/>Findings revealed that the gain score of the experimental group is higher than the control group after the integration of mathematics software which means that the use of math software has an impact on learning mathematics. There is a moderately desirable attitude among learners towards the integration of math software in learning mathematics; the use of math software is acceptable as they perceive it as effective in facilitating mathematics learning. However, respondents were moderately ready to use technology in learning mathematics. The counterbalance method effectively balanced the groups, ensuring that both of students experienced being control and experimental groups equally. The experimental intervention was effective, hence, the experimental group performed better than the control group. The results of the study served as a guide in the development of instructional material with software integration. <br/><br/>Keywords: Software integration, Technology readiness, Acceptability, Mathematics achievement<br/> |
