| General note | This study determined the significant difference of the level of extrinsic motivation and level of teaching performance based on their demographic profile of the respondents The descriptive type of research was used to describe and identify the teachers' profile, the level extrinsic motivation and level of teaching performance. The correlational part was employed to establish the relationship between and among the level of extrinsic motivation and level of teaching performance.<br/><br/> It was conducted in the Schools Division of Nueva Vizcaya which is currently one of the most active divisions in Region 02, particularly in organizing and implementing various programs, activities, and projects to potentially promote the Department of Education's primary objectives and functions as a learner-centered public institution. The 206 respondents were randomly selected and identified using Yamane's Formula. An adapted questionnaire was proportionately distributed from among as a form of data gathering.<br/><br/> The significant findings of this study revealed that age, marital status, monthly income, highest educational attainment, type of school showed significant difference along the level of extrinsic motivation as perceived by the teachers. Along teachers' performance it recorded outstanding performance indicating a highly motivated teachers' along with compensation needs, organizational relation, security relation, professional growth and recognition.<br/><br/> Furthermore, the level of extrinsic motivation associated with teacher performance showed significant correlation along with professional growth. Hence, it is suggestive that teachers with longer years of teaching may provide technical assistance to the younger ones.<br/><br/> Moreover, the school's division through its human relation development may strengthen the in-service trainings or seminars to develop higher level of extrinsic motivation towards effective teaching strategies of the teachers. |
