| General note | This study determined the factors that significantly predict the level of academic performance of Bachelor in Physical Education sophomore and junior students in their major subjects. The general objective was pursued by describing the student-related factors, the faculty-related factors, and the school-related factors; and the level of academic performance of BPE students in their major subjects. It also tested the predictors that significantly influence the level of academic performance of BPE students in their major subjects as well as the relationship between the level of academic performance of BPE students in their major subjects and the faculty-related factors.<br/>The study was undertaken in the two campuses of the Nueva Vizcaya State University Bambang and Bayombong campuses. A total of 38 randomly chosen students and five (5) faculty members served as respondents of this study.<br/><br/> A structured questionnaire was constructed and administered to the students taking BPE, and the faculty members teaching PE. The data on the academic performance of the students were gathered from secondary sources. The data were analyzed using descriptive (frequency counts, percentages, means, standard deviations) and inferential statistics (Multiple Regression and Pearson r).<br/>The study found out that the BPE program of the University is dominated by sophomore Ilocano students who avowed the Roman Catholic faith. Almost all of them did not hold membership to any student organization. Majority of the BPE students have fathers who were holders of secondary diploma and are famers while their mothers were college undergraduate and are managing their own businesses. The BPE students have an average of four (4) siblings.<br/><br/> The BPE program is manned by married faculty members with master's degrees whose area of expertise is Music, Arts, PE and Health. They come from various ethnicities professing the Roman Catholic faith. Majority of them sought continuing education and have spent five (5) years in the teaching profession. All faculty-respondents are instructors by rank.<br/>In the University, there is enough sports equipment to be used by the BPE students. However, the University cannot fully cater to the needs of its students as it still lacks some sports facilities such as gymnastic arena, boxing ring and swimming pool.<br/><br/> Faculty members of the BPE program continuously employ a variety of teaching methods when teaching PE subjects.<br/>The BPE students performed satisfactorily in their major subjects.<br/><br/> The occupation of the students' fathers predicts their satisfactory performance in their major subjects.<br/>PE teachers with master's degrees and those who have been teaching PE for a period of time, have students who performed satisfactorily in their major subjects.<br/>The availability of sports equipment and facilities in taekwondo and archery and the use of role playing as a teaching strategy predict the satisfactory performance of BPE students in their major subjects.<br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/> This study determined the factors that significantly predict the level of academic performance of Bachelor in Physical Education sophomore and junior students in their major subjects.
