| General note | This study assessed health and safety practices in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya's construction sector, and focused on compliance levels, the effectiveness of safety training, and safety prioritization. Using a mixed-methods approach with surveys and interviews from construction workers, site engineers/safety officers, and project managers/administrators, the study found moderate compliance with some challenges, such as time constraints and poor implementation of safety practices. Survey results showed construction workers with a mean compliance score of 3.57, site engineers/safety officers at 3.62, and project managers/administrators at 3.43, which indicated room for improvement. Only 20% of 40 workers participated in safety training, they found it helpful in reducing accidents. <br/><br/> The study highlighted the need for ongoing reviews and targeted interventions to improve safety in the construction industry, and offered insights for stakeholders, policymakers, and future research.<br/><br/>Keywords: health and safety practices, compliance levels, safety training programs, mixed-methods approach, Likert scale, time constraints.<br/> |
