This study was implementation of (ISFP) in the year 1998. conducted to the determine the degree Integrated Social Forestry two model sites Specifically. of Program in Nueva Vizcaya during the study attempted to the (1) determine the characteristics of the program participants in terms of economic, psycho-social, demographic, and government intervention-related variables; (2) evaluate the participants degree of implementation of the ISFP; and (3) determine if there is a significant relationship between the degree of implementation of participants and the ISFP by the program variables aforementioned the considered individually and collectively.

The respondents of the study were 122 upland farmers who recipients of Certificates of Stewardship Contract were (CSC).

The mean age of the respondents was 43 years, majority of them were attainment was Igorots and Ifugaos. elementary graduate or Their educational lower. More than three-fourths of the respondents live within the ISF area.

Of the 122 respondents, majority had positive perception about the ISFP; majority of them had high acceptability of the tenurial arrangement of the project which is stewardship of their ISF lot for 25 years and renewable for another 25 years; and most of them had moderate to high participation in the ISF association.

The size of ISF farm awarded ranged from 0.37-7.0 ha with more than three-fourths cultivating 4.80 ha or less. Most depended solely on income from upland farming and market their produce either by wholesale or a combination of wholesale and retail.

Majority of the respondents claimed that the number of trainings provided by the government through the DENR and allied agencies were adequate. Majority of them also considered the farm inputs provided by the DENR as adequate. More than one-half took advantage of the credit facilities provided by cooperatives or association. The monitoring and evaluation of the ISFP were regarded by the participants as very effective.
