The study was conducted to determine the parasites present in the gastrointestinal tract of Muscovy ducks in the Municipality of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, provide data to the municipal agriculture office and provide recommendations to the farmers on the proper medication and treatment of their animals.

A total of 180 Muscovy ducks were examined from six barangays of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, namely, Uddiawan, PD Galima, Bangaan, Tucal, Roxas and Bangar. The results show that there are bigger percentages of Muscovy ducks infected with double infection of Ascaridia and Capillaria than with triple infection of Ascaridia, Capillaria and Eimeria across place of origin, age group, gender, types of rearing and deworming history.

Forty two percent were infected with double infection, 15% with triple infection; 22.8% with a single infection caused by Capillaria, 0.6% with Ascaridia and 19.4% were negative for any parasite. Results also show that age group from five to eleven months old; females; free-range type of rearing and without deworming history are prone to infections.
