The study compared the in-vitro antibacterial effect of oregano (Origanum vulgare) leaves crude extract with the commercially available antibiotic (penicillin and streptomycin) and also identified the effective concentration capable of inhibiting the growth of Eschericha coli (CAT 231328) and Bacillus cereus (CAT 231321).
Based on the result of the study, there is no antimicrobial effect of oregano extract against Eschericha coli (CAT 231328) and Bacillus cereus (CAT 231321). Hence, oregano extract could not be recommended as antibacterial agent of Eschericha coli (CAT 231328) and Bacillus cereus (CAT 231321).
