The study was conducted to evaluate the influence of different nutrient management practices on the productivity of open-pollinated varieties of glutinous corn. The study was conducted in San Fabian, Echague, Isabela from June 25, 2023 to September 3, 2023. There were two factor treatments used in the study: Main Plot (Variety) V1 – IES GLUT #4, V2 - IES GLUT #7 and V3 - Lagkitan, Sub-Plot (Nutrient Management) F1 - Farmer's Practice ( 200kg / ha 14-14-14 and 150 kg/ha urea); F2 - 100 -60-60 kg/ha NPK (General Nutrient Requirement Recommendation): F3 - 100 - 60 - 60 kg/ha NPK + 125 kg/ha Vermicast, and F4 - 100 - 60 - 60kgNPK + 250kg / ha Vermicast The experiment was laid out in Split-plot design with three replications.

The different open-pollinated varieties of glutinous corn showed no significant differences in height at 30 and 60 DAP, number of leaves at 30 and 60 DAP, ear height, number of kernel rows per ear, days to fifty percent tasseling and silking, and chlorophyll before flowering and before silking. But they differed significantly in terms of ear length, ear weight, ear diameter, ear yield plot and yield per hectare.

The application of fertilizer revealed no effect on the height at 30 and 60 DAP, number of leaves at 30 and 60 DAP, length of leaves at 30 and 60 DAP, ear height, days to fifty percent tasseling and silking, or chlorophyll content before flowering and before silking. However, the application of fertilizer affected the ear weight, car length, ear diameter, number of kernel rows per ear, ear yield per plot and yield per hectare.

There was no positive interaction in terms of variety and fertilizer on the height of plants at 30 and 60 DAP, number of leaves at 30 and 60 DAP, length of leaves at 30 and 60 DAP, ear height, ear weight, ear length, car diameter, number of kernel rows per ear, ar yield per plot yield per hectare and chlorophyll content before flowering and before silking. However, the earliest days to fifty percent tasseling on OPV IES GLUT #4 x 100-60-60 kg/ha NPK + 250 kg/ha Vermicast and OPV IES GLUT #7 x 100-60-60 kg/ha NPK + 125 kg/ha Vermicast and OPV IES GLUT #4 x 100-60-60 kg/ha NPK + 250 kg/ha Vermicast showed the carliest days to fifty percent silking.

The highest return on expenses was obtained in V.Fa (IES GLUT #7 x 100-60-60 kg/ha NPK plus 250 kg/ha Vermicast) with 8.42 tons per hectare given 750.79 percent.
