This study was conducted to examine the business management practices of the milk tea houses in the three urban towns of the province. This study focused on the business profile of the milk tea houses and the business management practices in relation to marketing of products, operation of the milk tea business and the human resource management.

Results revealed that the age of the milk tea house personnel were shifting towards the younger group, college graduates and attended training in skills development, and majority passed the NCII from TESDA. It was also indicated that the milk tea business was operated as sole proprietorship and belongs to the micro-scale size of business whose main objective was to earn an income. The business management practices were along the marketing of products such as on the procurement of beverage materials and marketing of the beverage; the operation of the milk tea business which included beverage preparation and food safety and the last aspect was on managing the human resource group.

The result also showed that the demographic profile on age, sex and related training significantly differed with marketing practices. Position of the personnel and NC acquired showed significant difference with the operation practices on the type of beverage service and type of milk tea prepared. Age and position of the personnel revealed significant difference with the practices of human resource management on personnel qualities and attitude, observation tours and skills and competencies. A business scheme was formulated to improve the operation of the milk tea business.
