This study investigated the availability, adequacy and utilization of multimedia devices in the Northern Districts Schools of the Division of Nueva Vizcaya. This study utilized descriptive-inferential design where quantitative method of research was employed. A survey questionnaire was utilized to describe the teachers' present and real situations on the availability, adequacy, utilization, underlying issues and concerns arise in multimedia materials to the 308 respondents’ Inferential statistics was used to determine significant relationships between responses on the availability, adequacy and utilization of multimedia and demographic profile of the respondents.

Results of the study revealed that there is scarcity on the available multimedia resources in the schools. Laptop was the most active equipment used by the respondents because of its versatility and handy. The respondents attributed the insufficient resources to the rigid curriculum, high cost of materials and the lack of funds by the organization Respondents use YouTube, Facebook and Pinterest to enhance their teaching. There is an insufficient supply of materials in the locale of the study. The respondents acknowledged the advantages of using multimedia resources in classroom discussion and delivery of lessons. Utilization of multimedia resources/devices enhance students affective learning Self-study and research through webinars and instructional videos on how to use these kinds of resources are needed to cope up with the technological era. Textbooks and dictionary, encyclopedia, newsletters and newspapers are still effective nowadays. In addition, the rigid curriculum design, operating cost, lack of student and faculty technical know-how and lack of hardware are the problems they encounter in terms of utilizing multimedia devices/resources. Based from the recommended interventions, Strategic Intervention Plan was designed and as an output of this study. The SIP will somewhat guide the teachers and school managers to address the need for multimedia resources.
