Entrepreneurship is critical in enhancing the innovativeness and responsiveness of business towards boosting productivity and improving cost structures and trade performance It is an essential key in the achievement of greater economic prosperity in a country and in continuing regeneration of its economy. Further, the economics of entrepreneurial discovery should be the hub of the economics of growth and development. In connection with this, the technical and entrepreneurial capability of farmers in Dupax Del Norte in Nueva Vizcaya was deemed to be studied.

The study used a combination of quantitative qualitative research approaches through survey, interview and document scanning and analysis techniques to assess the technical and entrepreneurial competencies of farmers in the municipality of Dupax Del Norte, Nueva Vizcaya as well as the differences in the technical and entrepreneurial competencies of farmers, weaknesses and gaps in the technical and entrepreneurial competencies of farmers, areas of the business and general environmental strategies to improve farmers' technical and entrepreneurial competencies, and as an offshoot, an entrepreneurial development for farmers was crafted.

It was found that the farmers the technical and entrepreneurial skills of farmers in the farming business is relevant. In addition, the level of technical skills and entrepreneurial skills have no significant differences when grouped according to age, gender, civil status, highest educational attainment, and farm ownership. Also, the enabling environment and support provided by different government and non-government institutions were found to be effective hence the proposed entrepreneurship development plan was found to be relevant inasmuch as it was grounded on the results of this study and was meant to rejuvenate the current technical and entrepreneurial skills of the farmers in the locale of the study.
